Try to find some way you can make the tasks more fun, more interesting, or simply easier. If it’s a little boring, find a way to gamify it.

4. Block Out Time

If you’re having trouble working in fits and starts, set aside a specific stretch of time where you can finish the tasks or make significant progress on them.

5. Monitor your Progress

If you’re halfway through the task and losing steam, look at how much work you’ve done already to kick some motivation into gear. Remind yourself it will all be a waste of time if you don’t finish.

6. Change Your Mindset

You might have trouble finishing because you feel the task is too difficult or you don’t have the confidence. Try adopting a growth mindset and think about it as an exciting challenge and opportunity to learn.

7. Hold Yourself Accountable

Tell trusted people, you’re working on this task and when you’ll be done, like your partner or a mentor. Now, if you don’t finish, you’ll be letting others down as well as yourself.
